Taiz: The Taiz branch of the Agricultural Cooperative Union launched on Thursday the second phase of distributing office supplies to ten multi-purpose agricultural cooperative associations. The initiative is funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, in cooperation with the Bonyan Development Foundation.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor for Development Affairs, Abdulwasea Al-Shamsi, described the distribution of office supplies as an important step toward strengthening the administrative infrastructure of cooperative associations. He noted that this would help transform them from simple organizational entities into multi-purpose agricultural associations capable of implementing effective development and economic projects across the governorate's districts.
He added that this step would contribute to developing and enhancing administrative, documentation, and archiving mechanisms within the associations, improving their operational capacity and ability to serve farmers and develop the agricultural sector. Al-Shamsi also praised the local authority's leadership and ongoing efforts in supporting cooperative work and advancing the agricultural sector in the governorate.
