Aden: The local authorities of Aden and Al-Mahrah governorates commemorated the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad's birth with a speech event. The event saw the participation of governors from various regions, including Aden, Shabwa, Hadramout, Socotra, and Abyan.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Mahrah Governor Al-Qatabi Al-Furaji underscored the significance of this occasion as a moment to renew faith, reinforce the bond with the Prophet, and uphold the values he introduced. He emphasized the opportunity to reflect on the Prophet's life and derive lessons in love, mercy, tolerance, patience, selflessness, justice, and courage.
Al-Furaji reiterated the commitment to the Prophet's principles and urged Yemenis to unite with the leadership in Sana'a against perceived threats from Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Israel. He cautioned against opening new fronts of conflict and urged tribal leaders and communities to prevent their people from getting involved in these battles.
He also encouraged widespread participation in the central events marking the Prophet's birthday on 12 Rabi' Al-Awwal. Members of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Saleh Al-Khawlani and Ali Al-Mutri, highlighted the importance of learning from the Prophet's life and moral values.
They framed the occasion as a chance to remember the Prophet's noble qualities and to adhere to his teachings. They called for the event to be an educational and cultural season that promotes awareness, giving, sacrifice, steadfastness, and patience.
Furthermore, they stressed that commemorating the Prophet's birth fosters brotherhood, solidarity, unity, and encourages people to confront injustice, support the oppressed, and uphold Quranic values and principles.
