Sana'a: The administration of May 22 Club in Sana'a organized a ceremony today to honor the first team player and national youth team captain, Mohammed Waheeb, following his successful participation in the Gulf Youth Cup.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretary General of the Club, Bahaa Abdulhafeez, praised the outstanding performance delivered by Mohammed Waheeb with the national team. Abdulhafeez noted that Waheeb admirably represented the club and displayed remarkable performance alongside his teammates in the recently concluded tournament, where the national team finished as runner-up.
He highlighted that Waheeb is one of the club's most prominent players, and through his discipline and commitment, he has secured a place in the national teams, starting from the junior category up to the youth category. This achievement is attributed to Waheeb's active participation with the first team in various local competitions and his constant dedication to training.
The Secretary General encouraged the club's players to continue training and emulate Captain Mohammed Waheeb to reach the national teams across various age groups.
For his part, Captain Mohammed Waheeb expressed his appreciation to the club administration for this gracious gesture. He affirmed his determination to continue delivering honorable performances that best represent the club and the national teams.
