Media Seminar Explores Secrets of Influence, Art of Persuasion

Amran: The Media Department at the Faculty of Education, Sciences and Arts of Amran University, in collaboration with the Training and Rehabilitation Center of the University Student Forum, held a seminar on 'The Secrets of Influence and the Art of Persuasion' on Thursday.

According to Yemen News Agency, Amran University Rector Dr. Mohammed Al-Dhula'i emphasized the seminar's significance in developing competent media professionals in the governorate, capable of wielding influence through words and messages. He underlined the necessity of preparing specialized media personnel to engage effectively with contemporary changes and rapid developments in the media sector.

Dr. Al-Dhula'i also highlighted the university's rapid expansion in educational and academic fields, including the creation of new departments and faculties in areas such as business administration, Sharia and law, agriculture, medicine, and engineering. These advancements, he mentioned, are a precursor to establishing a specialized Faculty of Media, following the recent inauguration of the Media Department at the Faculty of Education, Sciences and Arts.

Dean of the Faculty of Education, Sciences and Arts Dr. Mohammed Sharab discussed the seminar's focus on various topics and theories aimed at fostering qualitative growth in media and journalism. The event aimed to prepare and enhance the skills of media professionals, ensuring the governorate is equipped with qualified personnel in different media and journalism specializations.

The seminar also delved into skills related to effective preparation and public speaking, concentration, overcoming hesitation, and explored the secrets and techniques of public speaking, including its linguistic and verbal aspects.
