Sana'a: A broad meeting was held on Tuesday to discuss the incentives granted to taxpayers by the Tax and Customs Authority, attended by acting Director Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi and General Authority of Zakat Chairman Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by several taxpayers, senior officials from the Zakat Authority, and branch directors, focused on coordination between the Tax and Zakat authorities, particularly regarding granting benefits to compliant taxpayers.
Dr. Mahdi emphasized that the meeting aligns with the directives of the Supreme Political Council and revolution leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi to provide facilities and advantages for those fulfilling their Zakat and tax obligations. He highlighted the authority's commitment to simplifying procedures, enhancing services, and building trust with taxpayers.
Sheikh Abu Nashtan affirmed the Zakat Authority's cooperation and efforts to facilitate processes for taxpayers. The participants agreed on the importance of joint coordination to achieve the objectives of service improvement and procedural simplification.
