Meteorology Forecasts Rainfall of Varying Intensity Across Governorates

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects continued scattered rainfall across several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center reported in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity, some heavy, accompanied by hail are expected to fall on parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit, the Tihama Plain, and the western parts of Sana'a and Saada.

Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely to fall on parts of the highlands of Bayda, Dhale'a, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hajjah, and parts of the southern coast.

The amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Ibb-Al-Saddah was 23 mm, Bayda-Dhi Na'im: 7.1 mm, Dhamar: 3.6 mm, Taiz: 3.6 mm, and Mahwit: 3 mm.

The center warned citizens of thunderstorms, crossing or staying in floodwaters during and after rainfall, rock and mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility due to the rainfall.
