Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted continued scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin forecasts thunderstorms of varying intensity, reaching heavy levels, accompanied by downdrafts and hail, in parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Sana'a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale'a, Al Bayda, the Tihama Plain, and the western coasts.
Scattered thunderstorms are also possible in parts of the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, the highlands and deserts of Al Mahrah, Hadramawt, Shabwah, Ma'rib, and Al Jawf.
The center warned citizens of the dangers of flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against being in or attempting to cross them. It also cautioned against the risks of thunderstorms and hail, and advised against being near tall buildings and trees.
Furthermore, the center warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to rain, low clouds, and fog, particularly for drivers. It also warned of strong downdrafts that could stir up dust storms and advised securing solar panels properly.
