Ministry Announces Results of Gifted Students’ Schools Examinations for Academic Year 1448 AH

Sana'a: The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research announced today the results of the admission and comparative examinations for gifted students' schools for the academic year 1448 AH. According to Yemen News Agency, at a press conference held at Abdulnasser Secondary School for Gifted Students in the Capital Secretariat, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatim Al-Da'is, extended congratulations to the successful male and female students in the admission and comparative examinations across the four gifted schools located in the Capital Secretariat and the governorates of Ibb and Hajjah. Dr. Al-Da'is highlighted the Ministry's dedication to providing opportunities for gifted students, emphasizing their potential contribution to sustainable development in various fields within the country. He expressed gratitude towards the leadership of local authorities for their efforts in establishing gifted schools in each governorate. The Deputy Minister encouraged the students to pur sue their academic and intellectual goals with commitment and diligence, praising the efforts of the gifted schools' administrations and educational staff in maintaining the conditions and standards necessary to select top-performing students. Dr. Zaid Al-Hadour, Deputy Minister for Secondary Education, announced the extension of the registration period for comparative examinations at Al-Shahid Al-Sammad Secondary School in Al-Hodeidah Governorate. This extension aims to provide opportunities for students from the newly opened school in the area. Efforts to expand gifted schools were also discussed, with an emphasis on their role as nurturing environments for the development of creative and gifted students' abilities and skills. Dr. Mohammed Al-Qasimi, Director of Gifted Schools, reported that 1,849 students applied for the admission examinations at the four gifted schools. At Abdulnasser Secondary School, 1,351 students competed for 200 seats. At Al-Shahid Al-Sammad Secondary School in the Capital Secreta riat, 160 female students competed for 100 seats, while in Ibb Governorate, 132 students competed for 120 seats. At Al-Shahid Taha Al-Madani Secondary School in Hajjah Governorate, 100 students were accepted. Dr. Al-Qasimi detailed the procedural steps ensuring accuracy and transparency in the admissions process. He also announced the names of top performers, with the highest success rates listed for each school, showcasing the competitive nature of the selection process.
