Ministry of Culture Mourns Passing of Sheikh Qasim Zubaydah

Sanaa: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism mourned the passing of Sheikh Qasim bin Ali Zubaydah, a renowned Yemeni religious singer, who passed away at the age of 75. According to Yemen News Agency, in a statement of condolence, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Ministry praised the deceased's virtues, his great creative and cultural contributions, and his role in preserving the authentic Yemeni religious chanting tradition. The Ministry affirmed that the Arab and Islamic creative scene has lost one of its most prominent figures with his passing, noting the distinctive character of Zubaydah's life and the lasting impact he had throughout his prolific career. He is considered a unique school of religious chanting, having mentored many of the leading singers in the field. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family, relatives, friends, and admirers of the deceased, as well as to the cultural and religious chanting c ommunity. They prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the deceased His abundant mercy and forgiveness, to admit him to Paradise, and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
