Sanaa: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates organized a speech event on Monday to commemorate the Prophet's birthday, may the best prayers and purest peace be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Hajar, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the Yemeni people's enduring love and support for the Prophet, which they have exhibited since the dawn of Islam. He emphasized their commitment to disseminating his message until God inherits the earth and all that is on it. Hajar remarked, "Our Yemeni ancestors were at the forefront of supporting the Prophet, and they will remain swords of Islam against polytheism and tyranny."
Hajar further commented on the current situation in Yemen, noting that the nation is engaged in a battle of siege and escalation. He stated that after more than 12 years of aggression and blockade, Yemenis are determined to reclaim their legitimate rights in full. They have declared to the world that the era of Saudi guardianship is over, positioning Yemen as a significant force in regional and international affairs.
Ambassador Hajar stressed the importance of unifying ranks during what he described as one of the most critical junctures in Yemen's modern history. He called for solidarity with the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, against the enemies of Yemen and the nation.
Dr. Fuad Naji, Deputy Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, shared that the celebrations serve as proof of Yemenis' dedication to the Prophet. He explained that commemorating the Prophet's birthday conveys messages of love, resilience, guidance, and dignity. He noted that the Holy Quran portrays the Prophet as a great leader and tactician who honored his commitments and made peace, while also teaching lessons to those who broke them.
The event also featured a diverse program, including a speech by Ambassador Abdulkarim Hashim, a poem by Muath Al-Junaid, and various presentations and performances. Children from the orphanage showcased folk heritage through an operetta and other segments, contributing to the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday.
