Ibb: Today, Dr. Abdulmu'min Shujaa' al-Din, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, issued Decision No. (116) for the year 1446 AH, regarding the establishment of branches of the Judicial Inspection Authority in several governorates, based on a proposal by the Authority's President. The decision includes the establishment of a branch for the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, and Al-Dhale', with its headquarters in the city of Ibb, and another branch for the governorates of Al-Hudaydah and Raymah, with its headquarters in the city of Al-Hudaydah.

According to Yemen News Agency, each branch is classified as a department within the Judicial Inspection Authority and is tasked with several responsibilities. These include receiving, reviewing, and registering complaints submitted by citizens against judges, studying these complaints, and taking necessary actions as per the Authority's regulations. This may involve conducting field investigations and reporting any violations to the President of the Authority. Complainants whose cases are dismissed have the right to appeal to the President of the Authority.

The branches are also responsible for conducting surprise inspections as directed by the Authority's President and performing field visits to courts to ensure judges are adhering to official working hours and are present at their assigned locations. They will also monitor compliance with scheduled court sessions, follow up on delayed cases, and submit periodic reports with recommendations.

Additionally, the branches will monitor judges to ensure the timely delivery of delayed case files, particularly after transfers, and submit regular reports to the President of the Authority. They will also follow up with courts to ensure they submit monthly and periodic judicial statistics. Further tasks may be assigned by the President of the Authority as needed.
