Sana'a: The thirteenth Ramadan lecture delivered by Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi offered a profound exploration of the story of Prophet Musa (PBUH) and his unwavering stance against tyranny and injustice.

According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Houthi delved into the Quranic verses from Al-Qasas, highlighting Musa's plea for forgiveness from Allah for an unintended outcome of his actions. The lecture emphasized Musa's commitment to truth and justice, illustrating his deep sense of responsibility and disciplined action under divine guidance, even before his prophetic mission began.

The lecture detailed how Musa's actions marked a significant turning point, placing him at a crossroads where he had to choose between continuing his support for the oppressed under new, challenging circumstances or retreating to appease the ruling powers of Firawn. Musa's choice to stand firm against the criminals, despite the risks to his life and well-being, was a testament to his reliance on Allah and his commitment to justice.

Sayyed Houthi highlighted Musa's declaration to Allah, pledging never to assist criminals, as a significant moment of steadfastness and integrity. Despite the potential for personal loss, Musa's stance was portrayed as a blessing, a source of pride, and a means of drawing nearer to Allah. The lecture underscored the importance of maintaining a righteous stance, even amidst criticism and challenges.

In contemporary times, Sayyed Houthi argued, vast propaganda campaigns target those who stand for truth, employing various methods to disparage and discourage them. Yet, he urged believers to prioritize Allah's pleasure above all else and remain steadfast in their convictions, seeing such a stance as a profound honor and a vital lesson.

The lecture concluded by warning against the grave sin of aiding criminals, stressing that any form of support makes one complicit in their wrongdoing. Sayyed Houthi emphasized the Quranic prohibitions against aligning with oppressors, urging the faithful to remain vigilant against becoming entangled in supporting tyranny.

As the lecture drew to a close, Sayyed Houthi expressed a prayer for guidance and success in pleasing Allah, asking for mercy on martyrs, healing for the wounded, freedom for captives, and victory for the believers.
