Sa'ada: Ali Qarsha, Chairman of the Committee for Addressing Prison and Prisoner Issues appointed by the Revolution Leader and the President of the Supreme Political Council, announced that work will begin this week to address the cases of insolvent prisoners and private rights claims at the Sa'ada Correctional Facility.

According to Yemen News Agency, Qarsha called on claimants and rights holders to cooperate with the committee to help settle humanitarian cases and facilitate the release of eligible prisoners. He explained that the committee will review and process the files of insolvent inmates and seek to cover as many financial obligations as possible within available resources, as part of efforts to ease the suffering of prisoners whose financial circumstances have prevented them from resolving their cases and returning to their families.

Qarsha urged claimants and rights holders to attend the correctional facility and cooperate in a spirit of responsibility and tolerance, stressing that mutual understanding and cooperation are essential for the success of reconciliation efforts and the settlement of outstanding disputes. He also called on members of parliament, tribal sheikhs, social figures, community leaders, and other influential individuals to support the committee's work and contribute to resolving murder cases and private rights disputes, thereby strengthening reconciliation and reform efforts and serving the public interest.

Qarsha noted that this initiative is part of the committee's ongoing field efforts across several governorates to address the conditions of prisoners and insolvent inmates. He highlighted the committee's recent success in settling numerous cases and securing the release of hundreds of prisoners in coordination with judicial and security authorities, philanthropists, and community leaders. He emphasized that addressing the issues of prisoners and insolvent inmates is a shared humanitarian and social responsibility that requires the combined efforts of official institutions, community leaders, and charitable actors to relieve hardship, reunite families, and promote solidarity and reconciliation within society.
