Review of Renovation and Equipment Upgrades in Traffic Areas in Capital Secretariat

Sanaa: Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, Director General of Traffic Police, has conducted a thorough review of the ongoing renovation and equipment upgrades in various traffic areas within the Capital Secretariat.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Barashi, along with Brigadier General Najib Al-Asadi, Director of Traffic in the Capital Secretariat, Colonel Hussein Al-Mukhtafi, Director of the Inspector General's Branch, and Kamil Ghathaya, field officer of the Prison Committee, visited several sites to assess the status of temporary detention facilities for traffic offenders. The inspection focused on the level of renovation, rehabilitation works, and the availability of essential equipment.

The officials examined new structural enhancements, including the installation of internal surveillance cameras, furniture, educational screens, Qur'ans, books, cultural programs, and other necessary supplies. These improvements aim to ensure an orderly environment that aligns with the legal and humanitarian standards set by the Ministry of Interior.

Major General Al-Barashi noted that these rehabilitation projects reflect the Ministry's commitment to prioritizing citizen welfare and delivering services with excellence. He emphasized that providing a dignified environment in service areas and temporary detention centers demonstrates an institutional commitment to maintaining professional and legal standards during the detention period, as mandated by law.

Brigadier General Al-Asadi highlighted that the updates encompass all traffic sections in the Capital Secretariat, aiming to enhance the overall appearance and improve administrative and field discipline. He pointed out that the addition of screens and educational tools in detention areas helps promote religious and traffic awareness among detainees.

During their visit, the Prison Committee engaged with detained citizens to understand the reasons for their detention and received positive feedback regarding the facilities and equipment provided by the Traffic Police.

Kamil Ghathaya praised the efforts of the Traffic Police leadership and staff in implementing programs and services that embody the principle of excellence for both citizens and drivers.
