Revolution Leader Highlights Economic Pressure as a Weapon Against Nation

Sanaa: The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, declared that economic pressure and boycotts are the primary tools used by enemies to target the nation and others. He made these remarks during his fifth lecture of the Dhul Hijjah lessons, part of the series "This Quran guides to that which is most upright."

According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdul Malik emphasized that reliance on enemies for basic needs, such as food, renders nations vulnerable to economic manipulation. He highlighted that Zionist Jews, alongside "America and Israel," actively exploit economic boycotts in their confrontations against various nations, including Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Cuba.

He criticized the Islamic world's adherence to economic boycotts that favor American interests, suggesting that if these regimes followed Quranic principles as diligently, the situation would be vastly different. He pointed out that the current reliance on imports over local production is detrimental, leading to unemployment and skill degradation.

Sayyed Abdul Malik stressed the control of national wealth, like oil and gas, by enemies who deny these resources to the people. He noted the severity of the economic blockade on their country, which restricts beneficial imports while allowing those that serve enemy interests. He called for a shift towards local production and self-sufficiency to alter this reality.

The Leader highlighted the importance of boycotting enemy goods to foster economic growth and utilize national resources. He criticized the flow of Arab wealth to enemies and condemned the portrayal of media freedom by the West, which he claims is selectively applied to suppress criticism of Jewish crimes.

He underscored the media's role in the conflict, noting that many outlets serve Zionist interests despite presenting themselves as national entities. He warned against the dangers of soft war propagated through media, which aims to influence public opinion and moral values.
