Hodeida: The free diagnostic, surgical, and treatment medical camp, organized by the Republican Teaching Hospital Authority of the Capital Sana'a in cooperation with the district's central hospital, concluded on Saturday in Beit al-Faqih District, Hodeida governorate. The camp was held under the slogan "Charity is an inexhaustible gift... and humanity without limits."
According to Yemen News Agency, over five days, the camp provided examinations, consultations, and surgical procedures in the following specialties: general surgery, hernia repair, fistula repair, hemorrhoids, varicocele repair, gallstone removal, bladder and tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and septoplasty. Four hundred patients benefited from the camp's services.
In closing, Province Undersecretary for Southern Districts Affairs Mutahhar al-Hadi praised the efforts and high humanitarian spirit of the medical and surgical team. He considered the camp's success a result of everyone's cooperation and a fundamental pillar of humanitarian work that effectively contributed to enhancing the level of medical performance and treatment services.
For his part, Director of the Governorate Health Office Dr. Ali al-Haddad emphasized the importance of embodying the values of compassion by members of this humanitarian profession. He noted that the medical team carried out its mission with high responsibility, patience, and dedication, reflecting the spirit of humanitarian giving and performing its duty efficiently and effectively despite all the challenges and exceptional working conditions.
In turn, District Director Hussein Sahl Zein commended the medical team's role and dedication in alleviating the suffering of patients and caring for their health. He expressed his hope that the Ministry of Health and Environment would continue to hold more medical camps to meet the growing needs of citizens under the current circumstances.
In conclusion, the medical and surgical staff of the Republican Teaching Hospital were honored with certificates, as was Dr. Hamoud Abbad, Head of the Human Resources Department at the Central Hospital.
