Sa’ada Commemorates Passing of Divine Scholar Badr al-Din al-Houthi

Sa'ada: A speech event was held on Monday in Dahyan city in Majz district of Sa'ada governorate to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of the divine scholar Badr al-Din Amir al-Din al-Houthi.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by governorate representatives, executive office members, and scholars. The President of Sa'ada University, Dr. Abdulrahim al-Humran, praised Sayyed Badr al-Din al-Houthi for his virtues, scholarly and jihadi life, asceticism, piety, and patience. He described him as an ally of the Qur'an and a supporter of the oppressed.

Dr. al-Humran emphasized that the commemoration serves as a crucial educational milestone, recalling the scholar's comprehensive school of faith, knowledge, and awareness of contemporary challenges. Muhsin al-Hamzi of the Yemeni Scholars Association highlighted the late scholar as an irreplaceable figure among Yemeni scholars and a leading Islamic figure despite political oppression.

Islamic figure Mohammed al-Hakim also reviewed aspects of al-Houthi's life and his commitment to societal purification and reform, further underscoring the scholar's significant impact on the community.
