Sa'ada: The Board of Directors of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Sa'ada governorate, led by Governor and Board Chairman Mohammed Awad, convened a meeting to assess the corporation's performance and operational activities over the past period.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Shura Council member Salman Awfan, and it focused on evaluating the implementation status of resolutions adopted during the previous session. Key discussions centered on addressing issues related to the write-off of charges against inactive subscribers, which had been recorded as debts on the corporation under 'minimum zero-meter readings.'
The board made significant decisions, including the approval to drill a well in the Qahzah area and the purchase of three submersible pumps for wells located in the Talmas and Gharaz areas. Governor Awad acknowledged the efforts made by the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in executing its tasks and implementing water projects that directly benefit citizens. He emphasized the necessity to intensify efforts to enhance the corporation's performance to ensure the successful implementation of projects aimed at expanding and improving water and sanitation services.
Additionally, the corporation's director, Mohammed al-Sa'adi, presented an overview of the well-drilling projects already executed, the operational challenges faced by the corporation, and the strategies adopted to overcome these challenges.
