Sana’a Correctional Facility Holds Cultural Evening, Honors Graduates of 21st Rehabilitation Course

Sana'a: Sana'a governorate Pre-Trial correctional facility organized on Wednesday its third cultural and oratorical evening as part of its preparatory program for commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and honored 30 inmates who graduated from its 21st rehabilitation course.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the evening, the facility's director, Major Mazen Issa, said that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects a deep connection to the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and reinforces the values of following his example and drawing inspiration from his approach to building individuals and reforming society.

He noted that the occasion serves as a spiritual milestone for strengthening religious awareness and moral values, while recalling the principles brought by the Prophet, which contribute to promoting positive behavior and instilling the values of patience, dignity, and honor.

The event featured recitations, poems, and theatrical performances highlighting the significance of the occasion and expressing love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), as well as the importance of adhering to his guidance and following his example.

At the conclusion of the evening, the correctional facility administration honored 30 inmates who graduated from the 21st rehabilitation course by awarding them certificates of appreciation and incentive prizes in recognition of their commitment and successful completion of the program.

The ten-day course, implemented with the support of the Rehabilitation and Reform Department of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, aimed to rehabilitate 30 inmates in scientific, educational, and cultural fields as part of the department's rehabilitation and reform programs.

Major Issa stressed that training and rehabilitation programs constitute a fundamental pillar in preparing inmates for positive reintegration into society, noting the department's and the correctional facility administration's commitment to expanding such programs to achieve the goals of reform and rehabilitation.

For his part, the facility's deputy director, Captain Yahya Mahmoud, praised the efforts of the department's leadership, the correctional facility administration, and those responsible for implementing the training programs. He urged the graduates to benefit from the knowledge they had acquired and apply it in their daily lives in a manner that fulfills the objectives of rehabilitation and reform.
