Sana'a: Sana'a governorate Local Council, led by Governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi, gathered to discuss development performance reports impacting the governorate's growth.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including Secretary-General Abdulqader al-Jilani, Administrative Board members Abdulsalam al-Jaifi, Mahyoub Mahdi, and Ali al-Suhaili, alongside other council members. The agenda included a comprehensive report from the Council Chairman and a general report from the Administrative Board, focusing on the execution and outcomes of previous decisions and recommendations. Discussions also highlighted the reasons for delays, and strategies were proposed to address pending implementations.
One significant outcome was the decision to liaise with the Road Maintenance Fund for paving the ring road around Bani Mansour market in Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah District, with instructions for the relevant authorities to ensure the project's completion to reduce market congestion. Additionally, an agricultural nursery is to be established in the district to fulfill the demand for fruit tree seedlings.
The council also addressed the empowerment of four associations with sifting units to enhance agricultural products. The emphasis was on adopting equitable distribution standards for these units across all targeted model districts. Governor Al-Hadi called on council members to oversee and report on the progress of service projects, highlighting their vital role in supervising executive offices and ensuring adequate service delivery to citizens.
Governor Al-Hadi reiterated the necessity of focusing on service development in both urban and rural areas, particularly those previously underserved. He underscored the importance of collective efforts to improve service sectors, implement reforms, enhance revenue collection, and rectify existing deficiencies to achieve measurable performance improvements.
