Sana'a: Student protests were held on Tuesday at a number of schools in Sana'a Governorate to condemn the Saudi attack on Sana'a International Airport.

According to Yemen News Agency, participants raised banners and slogans denouncing the targeting of the airport, describing the Saudi bombing as a blatant violation and an attempt to continue imposing a blockade on Sana'a International Airport and impose control over the Yemeni people. They said the attack obstructed the arrival of a civilian aircraft carrying patients, stranded passengers, and travelers.

The participants, including education sector officials and school principals, affirmed that targeting civilian facilities constitutes a blatant violation of international laws and norms and worsens the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Speakers at the protests said the education sector stands united in condemning the Saudi targeting, reaffirmed its rejection of attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure.

They called on the international community, the United Nations, humanitarian and human rights organizations to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities regarding the violations faced by the Yemeni people.

The statements reaffirmed the resilience and steadfastness of the Yemeni people in confronting various forms of aggression and blockade, stressing that such attacks will not weaken their determination or prevent them from continuing to defend their rights and sovereignty.
