Sanaa: In the eighteenth Ramadan lecture of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, he delved into the narrative of Prophet Musa (PBUH) as recounted in Surah Al-Qasas, focusing on the values of modesty, trustworthiness, and strength. The lecture, delivered in the holy month of Ramadan, highlighted the moral lessons derived from Musa's encounter with the two women at the water of Midian and his subsequent employment by their father.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized the exemplary conduct of Prophet Musa (PBUH) when he assisted two women in watering their flock, despite being a stranger in need himself. This act of kindness not only demonstrated Musa's benevolence but also led to his eventual employment and marriage within the righteous family. The story highlights the importance of modesty, which Sayyed Abdulmalik noted is a significant virtue for both men and women, impacting their relationship with Allah and their conduct with others.
The lecture further explored the qualities of strength and trustworthiness as essential criteria for fulfilling responsibilities. These virtues were exemplified by Musa's actions and were recognized by the young women, leading to the proposal that Musa be hired by their father. The narrative underscores the broader theme of trustworthiness as a fundamental value in all human interactions and responsibilities.
Sayyed Abdulmalik also reflected on the broader implications of Musa's journey, including the lessons of migration, lawful earnings, and the fulfillment of one's duties. He concluded by urging the audience to seek what pleases Allah and offered prayers for the martyrs, the wounded, and those in captivity. The lecture is part of a series aimed at imparting moral and spiritual teachings during Ramadan.
