Sana'a: The Guidance Sector in Al-Sabeen District of the Capital Sana'a organized a cultural seminar on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of the blessed Hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar focused on two main themes: the lessons and insights derived from the Prophet's migration (Hijrah) and the transformations that Islam witnessed as a result. The event emphasized the importance of understanding the meanings and dimensions of this significant historical event.
In addressing the first theme, First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat Khaled Al-Madani discussed the reasons and motivations behind the Prophet's migration, which is considered the most significant event commemorated by Muslims at the beginning of each Hijri year. Al-Madani highlighted the foundational implications of engaging with history and religious occasions methodically. He stressed the necessity of strengthening the connection with the life of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and utilizing the Hijrah occasion to draw lessons from his noble biography.
Al-Madani further noted the steadfastness of Yemenis in confronting aggression and supporting national causes, such as the Palestinian cause, as a continuation of the values and principles upheld by their ancestors, the Aws and Khazraj, who supported the Prophet and upheld the banner of Islam.
In the second theme, Dr. Qais Al-Tal, Director of the Guidance Sector in the Capital, reviewed the factors that prevented the people of Mecca from assuming responsibility and the careful arrangements made by the Noble Prophet during his migration. Dr. Al-Tal highlighted the actions undertaken by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, after the Hijrah, the characteristics of the Ansar community, and the role of Yemenis in supporting the Muhammadan message. He emphasized the importance of drawing profound lessons from the Prophet's Hijrah.
