Al-hodeidah: The College of Education and the Continuing Education Center in the Zabid district organized a cultural seminar under the theme 'Martyrs Are the Makers of Victory in Every Era' as part of the University of Al-Hodeidah's activities for the annual Martyrs' Day for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar addressed the critical themes related to the role of martyrs in Islamic belief and their significance in defending the nation's dignity and honor. It also focused on fostering a culture of jihad and martyrdom to counter intellectual invasions and soft wars. The event emphasized the importance of honoring martyrs by supporting their families and ensuring the educational, social, and developmental needs of their children are met.
First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bashri highlighted the national and faith-based dimensions of commemorating Martyrs' Day. He remarked on the importance of the occasion as a time to renew commitment to those who sacrificed their lives for religion, homeland, and dignity. Al-Bashri pointed out that nations are immortalized through the sacrifices of their heroes, and martyrdom serves as a beacon guiding generations toward freedom and independence. He emphasized the pivotal role of martyrs in upholding religious and national values and reviving resilience in the face of aggression.
Al-Bashri further stressed the duty of learning lessons from the sacrifices of martyrs and upholding their principles in confronting challenges. He called for attention to the needs of martyrs' families and emphasized that true loyalty to martyrs is shown through actions that continue their legacy against forces of arrogance and tyranny.
Dr. Ali Hael, Dean of the College of Education and Continuing Education Center in Zabid, discussed the spiritual and national significance of martyrdom. He noted that martyrdom in the path of God represents the ultimate form of giving and is a symbol of immortality, honor, and dignity for the nation. Dr. Hael highlighted the heroic actions of martyrs in defending the homeland, particularly leaders who exemplified sacrifice and devotion.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Ahdal, Mufti of Zabid District, emphasized the importance of instilling a culture of jihad and martyrdom in future generations as a defense against cultural and intellectual invasions. He acknowledged the historical role of martyrs in Yemen's resistance against forces of American-Zionist arrogance and tyranny.
