Sana'a: On this day, March 9, Yemen has been repeatedly struck by air and ground raids conducted by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition, resulting in numerous casualties, including women and children, across various governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, March 9, 2016, witnessed devastating attacks in which three citizens were killed and another injured following an air raid on a vehicle in Al-Humaidat District, Al-Jawf Governorate. The airstrikes also heavily targeted Al-Ghail and Bart Al-Anan districts. Further casualties included the death of Yahya Al-Zaabali and injuries to Mohammed Mohsen Firas in Shabwah Governorate.
The aggression continued with multiple raids across several districts in Sana'a, Marib, and Hajjah governorates throughout 2017, leading to the deaths of a woman and two children, and injuring another child in Al-Mazraq area. The attacks used cluster bombs extensively, causing significant damage to homes and agricultural lands.
In 2018, air raids claimed the lives of three citizens in Marib Governorate and a woman was killed due to artillery shelling in Saada Governorate. The hostile aircraft launched numerous raids, resulting in severe material damage across the region, with several districts being heavily bombarded.
The following year, 2019, saw the targeting of a car carrying displaced people in Kushar District, Hajjah Governorate. The Saudi army continued missile and artillery shelling in Saada Governorate, while mercenaries in Al-Hodeida Governorate fired upon residential areas, causing widespread destruction.
By 2020, injuries were reported from mercenaries' fire in Al-Tuhayta District, Al-Hodeida Governorate, with mercenaries launching mortar shells and establishing combat fortifications. The aggression's aircraft launched numerous raids across several districts, exacerbating the destruction in the affected areas.
The aggression persisted into 2021, with the aircraft launching multiple raids across various districts in Marib Governorate, causing significant damage to property and livestock. Al-Hodeida Governorate also witnessed heavy shelling from mercenaries, resulting in further destruction.
On March 9, 2022, Saudi artillery shelling in Monabbih District, Saada Governorate, led to the deaths of citizens and an African migrant, with several others injured. The aggression's aircraft and mercenaries continued their attacks across numerous governorates, leading to widespread devastation.
Most recently, in 2023, four citizens were injured by Saudi army fire in Shada District, Saada Governorate. Al-Hodeida Governorate continued to face shelling from mercenaries, who also established combat fortifications.
