Shabwa: Governor of Shabwa, Awad al-Awlaqi, on Monday highlighted concerns that recent developments in the al-Mahara and Hadhramut governorates signify a restructuring of divisions that align directly with American-Israeli interests, diverging from the agendas of Saudi and Emirati proxies.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor al-Awlaqi elaborated that the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias' takeover of Wadi Hadhramut and strategic positions in al-Mahara is intended to facilitate Israeli control of southern Yemen through the Emirati proxy. This move is seen as a tactic to divert Sana'a's forces from preparing for further confrontations with Israel and its regional affiliates.

Al-Awlaqi accused these proxies of attempting to transfer control of southern ports, vital facilities, and oil sectors to Israeli interests, thus shaping a new reality for future conflicts. He criticized the STC militias' actions as exemplifying collaboration and mercenary behavior. Furthermore, he remarked on the Islah Party militias, stating that their recent concerns over Yemeni unity are insincere and stem from lost interests and diminished Saudi support.

The governor also noted that the reduction of Saudi influence in Hadhramut follows directives from American and Israeli entities, aiming to reallocate spheres of interest in Yemen according to Israeli strategies. This plan is designed to pressure Sana'a into accepting a peace roadmap dictated by American and Israeli priorities. He emphasized that Sana'a is aware of these plans and is adequately prepared to confront any potential scenarios.

Al-Awlaqi emphasized Yemen's resilience against the Israeli and American influences and their proxies, asserting Yemen's capability to defend its sovereignty, independence, and unity. He also highlighted the broader threat posed by the UAE's secession project, which serves American, Israeli, and British interests, imposing a new reality detrimental to the Yemeni populace.

He condemned the STC militias' actions against the people of Hadhramut, al-Mahara, and Yemen, vowing that these crimes will not be forgotten and perpetrators will face justice. He concluded by reaffirming the Yemeni people's ability to protect their unity and expel occupation forces and mercenaries, highlighting a growing awareness of the Saudi-Emirati occupation's malicious objectives.
