Shabwah: Shabwah Governor Awadh Al-Awlaki affirmed that Yemeni unity embodied the genuine will of the people, who have remained committed to their blessed unity as an irreversible national choice and as the fruit of the sacrifices made by national fighters from both the north and south of the country.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor, in a statement on the occasion of the 36th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, described unity as the most significant historical achievement of the Yemeni people. He considered it the fundamental guarantee for building a strong, free, and independent Yemen capable of confronting all conspiracies and challenges with strength and resilience.
He explained that Yemeni unity is the key factor in unifying the efforts and energies of Yemenis toward construction and development, enhancing social and political stability, achieving economic growth, progress, and building a modern, strong, and independent Yemeni state far from the conflicts and divisions caused by fragmentation and disunity.
Governor Al-Awlaki pointed out that a unified and stable Yemen possesses all the elements necessary for progress, strength, and the ability to protect the interests of its people, as well as exert strong influence in Arab and regional balance equations. He stressed that unity has always been, and will continue to be, an important factor in achieving peace and prosperity for Yemen and the region as a whole.
He stated that the conspiracies still targeting Yemeni unity by foreign parties and 'mercenaries' at home have failed in the face of the Yemeni people's awareness and determination to preserve their national unity, which he described as the true guarantee for a dignified life in a strong and fully sovereign homeland, free from conflict, war, guardianship, or foreign dependency.
The governor noted that Yemen is facing real challenges and malicious attempts aimed at dividing the country, stressing that every free Yemeni must play a role in defending the homeland and its unity in loyalty to the sacrifices of the first generation of national fighters and Yemen's history of rejecting submission to any occupier.
He considered the honorable battle being fought by Yemen's leadership, people, and armed forces against the ambitions of the 'aggression coalition' and in support of the Palestinian cause as proof of the authenticity of the Yemeni people, who have refused to submit to aggressors and occupiers. He also praised the greatness of the September 21 Revolution and the wisdom of the revolutionary and political leadership that united Yemeni efforts to break free from foreign tutelage, enabling Yemen to play its civilizational role in defending its achievements, reclaiming its rights, and supporting the just causes of the nation.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to return this occasion upon the homeland and the great Yemeni people with goodness, peace, stability, victory over all tyrants and oppressors, and the complete liberation of every inch of Yemeni territory.
