Taiz: The summer courses in the districts of Taiz governorate for the year 1446 AH have garnered extensive attention from the revolutionary leadership, Supreme Political Council, Government of Change and Development, and local authorities. This concerted support aims to deepen Quranic culture and faith-based identity among youth and students while enhancing their skills in various fields.
According to Yemen News Agency, the courses play a crucial role in teaching new generations the memorization and sciences of the Holy Quran, safeguarding them from distorted cultures and destructive ideas that adversaries attempt to propagate through soft warfare.
The activities within these summer courses and schools across the governorate are diverse, encompassing academic, cultural, social, physical, sports, and recreational programs. These activities have been instrumental in raising students' awareness, honing their skills, and nurturing their creative talents, facilitated by a specialized educational and training team dedicated to providing a unique and beneficial learning experience.
The broad engagement from both social and official segments underscores a shared commitment to protecting youth, building their knowledge and skills, and fostering divine guidance through the recitation and memorization of the Quran, ensuring their success in both this life and the hereafter.
In this context, Ahmad Al-Masawi, the acting governor and head of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities in the governorate, emphasized the courses' importance as a primary line of defense for youth, shielding them from intellectual invasion. He regarded the summer courses as a crucial step toward cultivating a generation enlightened by Quranic values, sciences, and guidance.
Al-Masawi highlighted the necessity of shielding students from soft warfare and misguided cultures, nurturing their connection with God, enriching their knowledge and skills, and strengthening their Quranic culture and faith identity. He remarked on the importance of engaging young minds during school vacations with pure sources to prevent them from succumbing to destructive ideologies.
He acknowledged the wide range of activities offered in summer schools, particularly religious, academic, cultural, awareness-based, and athletic programs, which provide valuable knowledge and practical skills. He praised the positive turnout this year, attributing it to parents' awareness of the importance of enrolling their children in these programs during the summer break.
Moreover, the deputy head of the subcommittee and head of mobilization in the governorate, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, underscored the significance of these courses in shielding the new generation from distorted ideologies amid the proliferation of digital platforms. He asserted that the summer programs help illuminate youth and strengthen their bond with divine guidance and the Holy Book.
Al-Khalidi emphasized that the summer courses extend beyond cultural and religious enrichment, encompassing educational, athletic, and social activities, along with knowledge and skills development, and the discovery and nurturing of students' talents. He viewed the adversaries' discomfort with these programs as a testament to their importance in building an informed generation capable of confronting conspiracies targeting their values and identity.
He expressed gratitude for the dedicated teams in the summer schools, acknowledging them as the cornerstone of the program's success, equipping students with valuable knowledge and preparing them to assume responsibility.
In addition, Muhammad Al-Abadi, the director of the Subcommittee for Activities and Summer Courses in the governorate, reported a dynamic student movement in Taiz this year, with 759 summer schools accommodating 72,605 students, including three residential centers in Al-Ta'izia, Maqbanah, and Khadeer districts, and 80 model schools. He highlighted the diversity of activities at the school level and expressed hope for continued support from all relevant parties, especially amid the high level of public engagement, to ensure the successful completion of planned curricula.
