Sana'a: The branch of the Public Telecommunications Corporation (PTC) in Ibb province, in cooperation with the Subcommittee for Summer Courses, initiated technical and cybersecurity awareness activities as part of the summer program. This launch took place at Musab Educational Complex and al-Shuhada Complex, where Abdulfattah Ghallab, the province's general mobilization official, underscored the importance of cybersecurity education for students. He highlighted the necessity of teaching responsible digital practices to safeguard youth from cyber threats.
According to Yemen News Agency, PTC Branch Manager Mohieddin al-Mansouri stated that a training workshop was organized for 57 field trainers. The objective of this workshop is to equip educators with the skills needed to impart cybersecurity knowledge to the 2,313 students enrolled in the summer courses. Al-Mansouri also mentioned that curricula approved by the Ministry of Communications were distributed under the slogan "Greater Awareness.. Better Use," emphasizing the critical role trainers play in embedding cybersecurity principles among young people.
Ghallab noted that integrating tech awareness into summer activities marks a significant move toward developing a generation that is conscious and capable of navigating digital transformations. He emphasized the importance of aligning technology use with cultural identity and values.
