Training Course at Hajjah University Focuses on Unified Government Procurement and Warehousing System


Hajjah: Hajjah University organized today a specialized training course on the operational mechanism of the electronic procurement and warehousing system of the Ministry of Finance.



According to Yemen News Agency, the course aimed to enhance the capabilities of 12 participants, including directors of financial affairs, procurement, and warehousing at the university presidency, faculties, and centers. The objective was to qualify them to deal with the unified government system in preparation for its application across all university units.



During the course, the university president, Dr. Taha Al Hamzi, emphasized that adopting the unified system is part of the university’s plan to enhance transparency and financial control. The goal is to automate administrative work to ensure the control of purchasing and inventory processes and improve performance efficiency in line with the standards of the Ministry of Finance.



Meanwhile, the Director General of Financial Affairs at the university, Yasser Al Jabri, highlighted the importance of the system and its role in unifying financial and inventory procedures. He noted that it also facilitates electronic linkage between the university and relevant supervisory bodies.



The course trainer, Engineer Kamal Al Haddad, provided a detailed overview of the system’s components, such as windows, fields, data entry mechanisms, and steps for issuing purchase orders. He also covered how to register pledges and manage inventory items, offering direct practical application for the participants.
