Al-bayda: A training workshop was launched on Monday in Al-Bayda Governorate for directors of Rada'a districts and mobilization officers, focusing on the Integrated Development Work Model, Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA), the preparation of three-year strategic plans, and the development of the annual implementation plan for 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the six-day workshop, organized by the governorate's Planning Sector, aims to strengthen the capacities of 40 participants from Rada'a, Al-Shariyah, Sabah, Al-Riyashiyah, Al-Arsh, Wadi Rabi', and Al-Qurashiyah districts. The objective is to enable them to apply modern methodologies in community-based development planning. The training seeks to shift from traditional planning approaches to data-driven and needs-based planning, following an integrated development model that ensures performance effectiveness and implementation efficiency.
Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, emphasized the importance of the workshop in building local capacities. He stressed the need to adhere to its outcomes and apply the skills and knowledge gained in preparing strategic and implementation plans for the districts, contributing to improved service delivery and sustainable development that meets citizens' needs.
During the workshop, attended by Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Sayqal, he noted that the current stage requires developing planning tools and relying on participatory rapid appraisal as an effective method to determine development priorities and build realistic, actionable plans based on accurate data and broad community participation.
Planning official Muhammad Al-Maqbali explained that the training program includes both theoretical and practical modules on the Integrated Development Work Model, participatory rapid appraisal mechanisms, steps for preparing the three-year strategic plan, and procedures for preparing the annual implementation plan using scientific and modern methodologies. He pointed out that the workshop is part of the Planning Sector's efforts to enhance planning performance efficiency and strengthen coordination among local entities to achieve development objectives in the governorate.
