US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression Causes Civilian Casualties and Damage Over Years in Yemen

Sana'a: On this day, May 10, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its mercenaries targeted civilians and their properties with airstrikes, missile strikes, and artillery shelling, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries as well as significant damage to public and private property.

According to Yemen News Agency, on May 10, 2015, airstrikes by the aggression in the Al-Zaher district of Bayda Governorate resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to six others, including women, following an attack on a girls' school which was completely destroyed. In Sana'a, airstrikes on the Al-Nahda and Hadda neighborhoods caused injuries to civilians and media professionals covering the events. Additional strikes targeted the runways of Sana'a International Airport and several homes in Dhamar Governorate.

The aggression continued with airstrikes and artillery attacks in various regions over the years. On May 10, 2016, mercenaries bombed districts in Dhale', Shabwah, Taiz, and Marib Governorates, targeting residential areas and causing damage to homes and infrastructure.

On May 10, 2017, artillery shelling in Jawf Governorate injured civilians and damaged homes and farms. Saada Governorate experienced multiple airstrikes, resulting in significant property damage. Similar attacks occurred in Lahj, Hajjah, and Sana'a Governorates, affecting civilian homes and facilities.

In 2018, airstrikes on the Al Azraqin area in Sana'a Governorate led to 12 civilian casualties. Further attacks targeted farms, homes, and a glass factory, causing destruction and loss of life. The aggression also targeted multiple areas in Saada, resulting in substantial property damage.

By 2019, coalition mercenaries in Al Hudaydah shelled educational institutions and residential areas, while airstrikes in Saada damaged civilian properties. Missile and artillery shelling continued to affect populated areas, causing further destruction and displacement.

On May 10, 2020, aggressive airstrikes targeted communications networks and residential areas in Bayda, Jawf, and Marib Governorates, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The aggression persisted with artillery shelling in border districts, impacting civilian lives and properties.

In 2021, airstrikes in Bayda Governorate resulted in civilian casualties, including the death of a man and injuries to women. The aggression's mercenaries continued artillery attacks on civilian properties in Hodeida, further endangering lives and livelihoods.

On May 10, 2022, explosions and artillery shelling in Hodeida injured workers and damaged infrastructure. Mercenaries established combat fortifications in several districts, intensifying the conflict and its impact on civilian areas.

Most recently, on May 10, 2023, an explosive device left behind by the aggression detonated in Marib Governorate, killing a woman and highlighting the ongoing dangers faced by civilians due to unexploded ordnance.
