Sana’a: On this day, November 1, a series of airstrikes carried out by US-Saudi-Emirati forces and their mercenaries have repeatedly resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians across various provinces.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events began on November 1, 2015, when airstrikes in Taiz led to the martyrdom of four citizens and injuries to others. The attack targeted the residence of Mahmoud Abu Khalil, causing significant damage to surrounding homes. The airstrikes extended to other neighborhoods, including al-Jahmaliya and locations in al-Mokha district.
In Ibb city, a car bomb explosion resulted in one death and eleven injuries, including four children. Simultaneously, airstrikes in Sana’a province injured five citizens and damaged homes and commercial properties.
The aggression continued to target various regions, including the capital, Marib province, Saada province, and Hajjah province, resulting in extensive property damage and civilian casualties.
On November 1, 2016, further airstrikes across Sana’a, Marib, Saada, and other provinces caused widespread destruction of public and private properties. The strikes damaged homes, roads, and farms, with mercenaries also bombarding areas with artillery and rockets.
The violence persisted on November 1, 2017, when an airstrike on a hostel in Saada province claimed 29 lives and injured 28 more. Additional casualties occurred across various provinces due to artillery shelling and further airstrikes.
On November 1, 2018, airstrikes and artillery attacks resulted in civilian injuries in Hodeida and Saada provinces. The use of drones and fighter jets further exacerbated the situation, with populated villages coming under heavy fire.
The pattern continued on November 1, 2019, with airstrikes in Saada leading to deaths and injuries. The attacks extended to Hodeida, where mercenaries targeted villages with artillery and gunfire, causing severe damage to civilian properties.
On November 1, 2020, airstrikes in Marib and al-Jawf provinces, along with artillery shelling in Hodeida, continued to inflict damage on civilians and their properties.
The violence did not abate on November 1, 2021, with injuries reported in Saada due to Saudi army fire. Extensive airstrikes were carried out across Marib, al-Jawf, and Amran provinces, causing further destruction.
Most recently, on November 1, 2022, a landmine explosion in Hodeida injured two children, underscoring the ongoing threat to civilians from remnants of the conflict as mercenaries continued to build fortifications and engage in bombardment.
