According to Yemen News Agency, participants raised the noble Quran in veneration of the Book of Allah, and declared their readiness to defend the Quran and sanctities, affirming that this crime provokes Muslims and demands a firm stance.
The statement condemned the burning of copies of the Quran, considering it a deliberate targeting of sanctities and an extension of the Zionist campaign against Islam.
It deplored the silence of scholars and regimes of the nation, and affirmed that dignity and honor can only be achieved by returning to the Quran and adhering to it.
It called for confronting the "Greater Israel" project, and affirmed that the insult to the Quran should be a central theme in the Prophet's birthday events and upcoming demonstrations.
