Work Underway at Women’s Square in Sana’a for Prophet’s Birthday Celebration

Sana'a: Teams are continuing their work at the central women's event square at the Military Academy in the capital Sana'a to finalize preparations and arrangements for receiving the large crowds of women celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.

According to Yemen News Agency, for several days, the square has witnessed continuous, round-the-clock work by technical, service, and engineering teams, as well as cleaning and public works equipment, the executive unit, and various departments within the capital's municipality. This is all part of a comprehensive plan developed by the relevant authorities to ensure the square is at the highest level of readiness and organization, befitting the grandeur and significance of this important religious occasion.

In this context, Ali al-Saqqaf, the official in charge of the celebration venues in the capital, Sana'a, explained that field teams are working at a rapid pace and with intensive efforts to prepare and equip the central women's event venue. Work began well in advance to ensure that this year's preparations are of the highest standard and best organized for the grandest and most prestigious celebration of this occasion, so dear to the hearts of Yemenis.

He pointed to the ongoing preparations at the venue in various service, technical, logistical, and organizational aspects, including the installation of screens, loudspeakers, lighting, and decorations, as well as cleaning, beautification, painting, and landscaping. He also mentioned the arrangement and expansion of parking areas and the organization of streets and entrances leading to the venue, all to present a beautiful image that reflects the grandeur of the occasion.

Al-Saqqaf stated that the work being carried out reflects the level of attention given to the preparation, equipping, and organization of this event. He noted that the Sana'a Municipality plays a major role in preparing the central women's event venue, alongside the Sana'a Governorate, the Ministries and Institutions of Electricity, Water, and Telecommunications, and various other participating and cooperating entities.

He affirmed that the Yemeni people, men and women, will create a magnificent display of faith on this occasion, with millions gathering to embody their love, loyalty, and devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

Cleaning, beautification, and landscaping work continues, including planting seedlings around the square and on the median strips, and pruning trees to create an aesthetically pleasing appearance befitting the grandeur of the occasion.

Al-Saqqaf explained that the assigned teams are continuing electrical work and maintaining the lighting poles in the square and the roads leading to it, adding decorative lighting to highlight the square's features, as well as painting the sidewalks and walls with vibrant colors and slogans.

He emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining cleanliness, both around the squares and other locations, and in the decoration efforts, so that the capital city is presented in its finest form.

Meanwhile, engineering and technical teams are continuing their work at the Military Academy Square, focusing on electrical systems, sound systems, giant screens, preparing the main platform, and other technical aspects.

Al-Saqqaf indicated that two giant screens will be installed in the square to broadcast the celebration events and speeches live. Work is also underway to prepare the main stage and other aesthetically pleasing elements, as well as to install loudspeakers distributed throughout the event area to ensure clear sound for all participants.

The square's preparations include providing service facilities such as restrooms, first aid clinics, medical tents, and guidance teams to direct participants to parking areas and entrances. Additionally, female cleaning teams will be present.

To organize and facilitate the movement of the female crowds, work is ongoing to prepare and expand the parking areas, which now number more than 12, around the square and nearby locations to accommodate thousands of cars and buses. Signage is also being installed at the entrances to these parking areas to facilitate entry and exit.

According to Al-Saqqaf, the parking areas and service facilities in the square will be fully prepared before the start of Rabi' al-Awwal. Work is also underway to complete other preparations and put the final touches in anticipation of welcoming the guests of the Prophet Muhammad at the Grand Muhammad Festival.

He said, "We expect larger crowds this year than in previous years, so we have prepared more parking areas, including those prepared last year."

The traffic police have also developed a traffic and organizational plan to ensure smooth traffic flow and designate specific routes for participants. They have also deployed traffic officers at streets and intersections leading to the square to facilitate traffic and organize the entry of crowds.

The official in charge of the two celebration squares in the capital stated that the number of female staff members who will handle organizational aspects within the women's section exceeds 25,000, working in various fields. This reflects the commitment to having all staff members working within the square be women.

Al-Saqqaf emphasized that all teams are working at a rapid pace to complete the preparations and arrangements, putting the final touches on everything in a manner befitting the grandeur of this significant religious occasion.

He pointed to the importance of showcasing the joy and celebration of this religious occasion and conveying the honorable image of the Yemeni people's celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, whom he described by saying, "Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni."

He commended the efforts of all the teams working day and night to ensure the venue is fully prepared at all levels, befitting the guests of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). He noted that the Yemeni people demonstrate their loyalty and love for the Prophet every year.

Al-Saqqaf also affirmed that all security, organizational, media, technical, service, and logistics committees, among others, are working to finalize all arrangements to ensure the event is held as planned.
