Sanaa: The Yemen Scholars Association condemned what it described as a renewed US insult to the Holy Quran, stating that such US-Israeli provocations continue because those who offend the Quran and Islamic sanctities are not held accountable.
According to Yemen News Agency, the association issued a statement on Tuesday, urging Islamic countries to sever relations with the United States and demand the prosecution of Israeli criminal Abustini and others like him. The statement also called on Muslims to express their anger through a comprehensive boycott of US goods and demonstrations, and encouraged the Yemeni people to take a leading stance, making support for the Quran part of activities marking the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.
The association further accused Arab and Islamic governments, including Saudi Arabia, of being partners in these actions through their alignment and cooperation with the United States.
