Workshop for Sorting Delegates and Bus Drivers’ Representatives in Sana’a

Sana'a: The Traffic Police in Sana'a organized a workshop on Tuesday for public transport sorting delegates and representatives of taxi bus drivers in the Capital Secretariat, as part of community awareness programs aimed at enhancing traffic discipline.

According to Yemen News Agency, the First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, delivered an awareness lecture emphasizing the role of the Traffic Police in promoting road safety and protecting citizens' lives and property. He urged bus drivers to adopt positive behavior, avoid wrong practices, and ensure their conduct aligns with Islamic teachings, Yemeni customs, traditions, and morals.

Al-Madani highlighted the importance of maintaining virtuous ethics and avoiding behaviors that disrupt public order and contradict general etiquette. He stated that public roads should not be used for exercising personal freedoms, which requires heightened awareness and avoidance of improper practices.

Director General of the Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Burashi, discussed ongoing efforts to improve traffic operations, including the field deployment plan for the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday. He addressed measures to reduce violations, congestion, and traffic accidents, noting several observations related to bus operations and requirements for regulating sorting work. He also highlighted the need to address overlapping roles, accumulated disorder, and irregularities from previous stages, and discussed ways to resolve them.
