Ain Al-Insaniyah Center Condemns Saudi-Led Attacks Resulting in Civilian Casualties in Yemen

Sana'a:The Ain Al-Insaniyah Center for Rights and Development has strongly condemned six violent incidents attributed to the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries in Yemen's governorates of Taiz, Hajjah, and Sa'ada. These attacks, occurring over the past few hours, have targeted civilian areas, leading to significant loss of life and injury.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Ain Al-Insaniyah Center reported that these assaults have resulted in the deaths of nine civilians and injuries to 21 others, predominantly affecting women and children. The casualties were caused by airstrikes and artillery shelling in several districts, including Al-Ma'afir, Dhubab, Al-Ta'iziyah, and Ash-Shamayatayn in Taiz; Bakil Al-Mir in Hajjah; and Shada in Sa'ada.

The center's statement highlights a pattern of attacks on civilian homes, which cannot be dismissed as isolated incidents or "collateral damage." It attributes direct responsibility to the Saudi regime and its mercenaries for the loss of life and property damage, holding them accountable for their specific roles in these actions. The statement stresses the importance of adherence to international humanitarian law, including the principles of distinction and proportionality, to protect civilians.

Furthermore, the statement calls for legal accountability for these grave violations and emphasizes that the protection of civilians is a non-negotiable legal and humanitarian obligation. The center urges a firm human rights response to prevent impunity and ensure that those responsible for these crimes are held accountable.
