Entisaf Organization Denounces Saudi Airstrikes in Sanaa and Taiz

Sanaa:The Entisaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Saudi-led airstrikes against civilians and residential neighborhoods in Yemen. These attacks have resulted in casualties, including both women and children, across several governorates.

According to Yemen News Agency, the organization reported that the airstrikes targeted the Nihm District in the Sanaa Governorate, leading to the death and injury of 12 members of a single family. Initial reports indicate that three individuals were killed and nine others injured in what has been described as a horrific massacre and a war crime against civilians in their homes.

The Entisaf Organization also condemned an attack on a residential home in the Al-Za'azi' area of Al-Shamaytein District in Taiz Governorate, where one citizen was killed and four others were injured, including a boy and a girl. Additionally, border attacks in Baqim and Munabbih Districts in Saada Governorate left two citizens and an African migrant wounded.

The organization emphasized that the targeting of civilian homes and objects, placing families and children at risk of death and injury, constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and conventions regarding the protection of civilians during armed conflicts. They stressed that civilian presence does not justify such attacks, highlighting the significant humanitarian suffering caused, particularly among children.

Holding the Saudi regime legally accountable, the organization called on the United Nations and international human rights bodies to urgently intervene to halt the aggression and siege, ensure civilian protection, and hold perpetrators accountable. The Entisaf Organization reiterated that these crimes will not expire and emphasized the importance of justice and reparations for the victims and their families.
