Al bayda: A meeting held in Al Bayda city on Tuesday, chaired by Governor Abdullah Idris, discussed the role of the education sector in mobilizing for the central event marking the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed's birth (Mawlid) at the Al Bayda Governorate Square.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Al Bayda City Director Ahmed Al-Rassas, City Local Council Secretary Sadiq Al-Qadhi, education sector officials, and school principals. It stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and mechanisms related to organizing, preparing for, and mobilizing participants for the central Mawlid event.

Participants emphasized the need for everyone to assume responsibility for the success of the Mawlid anniversary activities. They highlighted the importance of mobilizing for the central celebration and utilizing the occasion as an educational, mobilizational, and jihadi platform.

During the meeting, Governor Idris highlighted the importance of commemorating the Prophet Mohammed's birth anniversary, given its significance to Yemenis and Muslims in general. He described the Mawlid anniversary as a religious occasion that unites Muslims around the world, noting that the descendants of the Ansar are at the forefront of commemorating the Prophet Mohammed's legacy worldwide.

Governor Idris stated that commemorating this religious occasion conveys to the enemies of Islam the strong bond between Yemenis and the Prophet, described as the mercy bestowed upon humanity. It represents a practical response to repeated insults against Islamic sanctities, foremost among them the Holy Quran.

He reviewed examples of patience and steadfastness demonstrated during the call of the final Prophet and the lessons contained in his life in resisting tyranny and standing up for truth. He noted that history repeats itself: just as the Ansar in Medina supported and sheltered the Messenger of Allah, the Yemeni people today stand in solidarity with the oppressed in Palestine and Lebanon, reflecting the continuity of values and principles across generations.

Governor Idris urged education sector personnel to actively participate in preparing, organizing, and mobilizing for the gathering at Al Bayda Square. Residents of the districts of Mukayras, Al-Sawmaah, Al-Zahir, Dhi Na'im, Maswarah, Al Bayda City, and its countryside are expected to gather on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
