Launch of Free Medical Camp for Children at Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in Al-Hodeida

Al-hodeida: The Deputy Governor of Al-Hodeida for Services Affairs, Mohammed Halisi, and the Deputy Head of the General Authority of Al-Thawra Hospital in the governorate, Dr. Abdullah Al-Zahiri, inaugurated today the free medical camp for children, organized by the Authority as part of its charitable programs on the occasion of the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi) for the year 1448 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the camp, which runs for two days, provides free medical examinations for children, dispensing of available medications, a 50% discount on laboratory tests, along with health recommendations and guidance from pharmacy and clinical nutrition teams, contributing to enhancing children's healthcare and alleviating treatment burdens on families.

On its first day, the camp received over 403 pediatric cases, as part of the free medical services provided by Al-Thawra Hospital Authority within its humanitarian and community programs accompanying the Mawlid al-Nabawi commemoration.

During the inauguration, Halisi inspected the level of medical services provided to children and listened to an explanation from those in charge of the camp regarding the nature of the services it provides, the mechanism for receiving cases, conducting examinations and tests, dispensing medications, as well as the accompanying health awareness programs. He emphasized the importance of holding free medical camps that contribute to providing healthcare for children and alleviating treatment burdens on families, praising Al-Thawra Hospital Authority's initiative in organizing the camp.

He pointed out that these initiatives embody the values of solidarity and charity, and enhance the presence of health institutions in serving the community, calling for the continuation of free medical programs and expanding the scope of their reach. Deputy Governor Halisi appreciated the efforts of the medical, health, and administrative staff working at the camp, and the Authority's role in providing free health services to children, enhancing the level of care provided to the community.

For his part, Dr. Al-Zahiri, Deputy Head of Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority, explained that the camp is part of the Authority's humanitarian and community programs accompanying the Mawlid al-Nabawi commemoration, targeting the provision of free medical services to children. He noted that the camp provides medical examinations, dispensing of available medications, laboratory tests at a 50% discount, along with health guidance and recommendations in the fields of pharmacy and clinical nutrition.

Al-Zahiri praised the role of pharmaceutical companies in supporting the camp and providing medications and medical supplies, emphasizing the importance of integrating efforts between the Authority and supporting entities to ensure the success of health and humanitarian programs.

For his part, the camp director, Dr. Adel Jabran, explained that the participating medical and health teams are working to provide services to beneficiaries according to the camp's program, while providing guidance related to medication use and clinical nutrition, enhancing the benefit for children and their families from the services provided. He highlighted the importance of the pharmacy and clinical nutrition services accompanying the camp in enhancing health awareness among families, and providing recommendations related to children's health and nutrition.

Jabran explained that the camp includes an integrated program of medical and health services, along with pharmaceutical and nutritional awareness, enhancing the benefit for children and their families from the services provided.
