Meeting for Media Professionals in Amran Aims to Enhance Zakat Awareness and Highlight Its Impacts

Amran: The Zakat Authority Office in Amran Governorate organized an expanded awareness meeting for media professionals, activists, and writers, under the slogan "Together Toward Zakat Awareness." The meeting aimed at enhancing awareness of the obligation of zakat and highlighting its humanitarian and social impacts, as part of the preparation for implementing the debtors and ransom project.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Governor of Amran, Dr. Faisal Ja'man, emphasized the role of media in entrenching the values of solidarity and confronting rumors with verified information. He called for dedicating media space to introduce zakat and urging those liable to pay it.

The Director General of Media and Awareness at the Authority, Mohammed Al-Mawshki, explained that the Authority intends to implement the debtors project in the governorate. This project targets 37 indebted individuals at a total cost of 162 million riyals, aiming to restore stability to their families and end their suffering.

The Director of the Authority's office in the governorate, Mohammed Al-Shahrani, reviewed the Authority's projects, affirming that the debtors project holds both humanitarian and social dimensions. Its impact on revitalizing beneficiaries' lives and reintegrating them into society was highlighted.

The meeting featured a visual report showcasing the Authority's successes in relieving the poor and needy.
