Sana'a: Supreme Political Council member Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi paid tribute to the martyred Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi and his cabinet ministers, describing them as men of responsibility and principle who fulfilled their duties under challenging conditions imposed by the US-Saudi aggression and blockade.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Houthi made these remarks on the occasion of the first anniversary of Al-Rahawi's martyrdom. He emphasized that the men were martyred while diligently performing their duties amid intense Israeli aggression against several regions including Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Al-Houthi highlighted Yemen's unwavering support for Palestine and the Palestinian people in Gaza, stating that this stance mirrored the conscience of a nation that refused to remain passive while Palestinians faced a humanitarian crisis. He praised the resilience of Yemen in maintaining its principles and responsibilities toward Palestine, despite the sacrifices and consequences involved.

Al-Houthi asserted that the sacrifices made by the martyrs had not weakened Yemen's resolve but had instead reinforced its commitment to its principles. He lauded the martyrs for fulfilling their commitments to Allah and their people, describing their lives as dedicated to a noble cause. He noted that these individuals were not just officeholders, but true men of responsibility and principle who remained dedicated to their duties despite the adversities confronting Yemen.

Furthermore, Al-Houthi urged that commemorating the martyrs should involve preserving the values they embodied, such as dedication, responsibility, and steadfastness in hardship. He called for the sacrifices of these martyrs to inspire greater efforts toward achieving freedom, dignity, and rights, as well as strengthening state institutions, improving living conditions, and building a Yemen worthy of its people. Al-Houthi concluded by praying for the martyrs, including Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi and his fellow ministers, as well as the martyrs of Yemen, Palestine, and wished for the wounded to recover swiftly.
