Al-sawma'ah: The local authority and mobilization committee in Al-Sawma'ah district of Al-Bayda governorate held a speech event on Monday to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. During the event, Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris emphasized the importance of the Muslim nation returning to the teachings of Allah and His Messenger to build a society rooted in the Prophet Muhammad's principles and dedicated to spreading goodwill.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Idris highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birth signifies the deep connection Yemenis have with the Prophet and serves as a deterrent to adversaries of Islam. He noted that celebrating the Prophet's birthday reinforces the faith-based identity in the face of significant challenges confronting the Muslim community and called attention to the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, criticizing the international community's silence and the complacency of Arab and Muslim governments.
Governor Idris asserted that the Yemeni people remain committed to supporting Gaza both morally and materially, despite the hardships they face, until what he termed as 'victory' is realized. He remarked that the commemoration aligns with the proposals from Ansarullah leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to lift blockades, cease aggression, reclaim rights, and end occupation. He urged residents across the district to join in the central celebration planned for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal in the governorate center.
Additionally, Al-Sawma'ah District Director Abdullah Al-Thuraya emphasized the necessity for a genuine return to the Holy Quran and adherence to the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad. He stated that embodying the Prophet's example and translating love for him into action has resulted in successes against adversaries despite unequal resources.
Al-Thuraya remarked that Yemen's unique stance in supporting Gaza has reinstated the country's leadership role within the Muslim world, and he underscored the importance of promoting jihad and exposing the detrimental roles of what he labeled as 'subservient regimes.' Several other speakers at the event echoed these sentiments, underscoring that the celebration of the Prophet's birthday signifies Yemenis' commitment to the Prophet and their dedication to embodying his noble character and humanitarian values. They concluded that the Prophet's birthday is a significant religious occasion to be celebrated with joy, reflection on his life, and recognition of his struggles and contributions.
