Sana'a: The Sanitation and Improvement Fund in Sana'a Governorate organized a closing cultural evening commemorating the Prophet's birthday, may the best prayers and peace be upon him and his family, under the slogan "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves."
According to Yemen News Agency, the evening was attended by several prominent figures, including members of the Shura Council and the governorate's deputies. First Deputy Governor Hamid Asim highlighted the significance of this occasion as a spiritual milestone to draw upon the values and morals of the Prophet. He emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a renewal of the covenant and allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, which involves embodying his noble teachings through efforts and improved performance in various sectors as a duty to future generations.
Deputy Governor Asim praised the participation of the province's residents in the celebrations across all villages and districts. He urged for active participation and a dignified turnout at the grand central event, reflecting the high regard the Yemeni people hold for the Prophet. Asim noted that eight fully equipped entrances were prepared to accommodate the large crowds expected at Al-Sabeen Square.
The event also saw the presence of Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Houri, Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Science, Research, Technology and Innovation, and Brigadier General Mujahid Ayed, Provincial Security Director, among others. Engineer Sami Al-Turabi, Executive Director of the Sanitation Fund, praised the attendance and participation, underscoring the high esteem in which the province's people hold the Prophet Muhammad.
Prominent figures like poet Abdul Salam, activist Abdul Karim Atef, and young Saddam Al-Marani remarked on the spiritual significance of the occasion, emphasizing the need to emulate the Prophet's example amidst current challenges faced by the nation. They highlighted the importance of fortifying the Ummah, strengthening awareness, and adhering to the values established by the Prophet.
The evening featured various cultural activities, including a poem, two operettas, religious chants, a traditional dance, and a play, attended by Mansour al-Lakoumi, a member of the governorate's mobilization committee.
