Discussion on Implementation Level of Summer Course Activities in Sanaa

Sanaa: A meeting held today in Sana'a Governorate, chaired by the Governor and Head of the Supervisory Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, Abdulbasit Al-Hadi, reviewed the level of implementation of activities and programs for both open and model summer courses during the first week.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the official in charge of general mobilization and Deputy Head of the Committee, Fayez Al-Hanami, the head of the educational sector and chairman of the governorate's subcommittee, Talib Dahhan, along with sector officials and relevant authorities, who examined reports on the implementation of summer programs and activities.

The discussion also covered the daily report of the summer courses, scouting schools, the timetable of activities, the roles of relevant authorities involved in the summer programs, and the media plan. The meeting addressed the level of implementation of outcomes from the previous meeting, the challenges faced in implementing some of those outcomes, and appropriate proposals to address them. It emphasized the importance of providing basic needs to support the implementation of activities and programs, with a focus on Quran memorization.

Participants stressed the importance of strengthening efforts to ensure the success of summer courses, promoting Quranic culture within society, focusing on teaching staff, diversifying programs and activities, and giving attention to sports. During the meeting, Governor Al-Hadi highlighted the importance of working with a comprehensive vision, focusing on social development, maintaining regular meetings, and reviewing evaluation reports of summer activities and programs to identify key successes, reinforce them, and address shortcomings.

He also emphasized the need for collective efforts to improve the outcomes of summer courses at all levels. The Governor stressed the necessity to implement activities in accordance with the plan of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, focusing on teaching the Quran and its sciences, and making good use of the holiday to develop students' talents and enhance their abilities.
