Taiz: A meeting was held today in Taiz province, bringing together President of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Dr. Marwan al-Muhaqqari, Acting Governor Ahmed al-Masawi, and the joint committee formed by the Office of the Leader, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Ministry of Interior, to discuss the situation of prisons and inmates in the province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by President of the Taiz Court of Appeals Judge Fawaz al-Muqatri, Public Prosecutor Judge Abdullah al-Sanea, and members of the joint committee Sheikh Ali Nasser Qorshah, Judge Rajeh Zayed, and Colonel Ahmed al-Muwaidi, focused on mechanisms and criteria for releasing eligible inmates on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday, in line with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution.
The meeting reviewed the measures taken for the release of 60 prisoners, following field visits by the Authority's president and the committee to monitor inmate conditions in the central prison as well as detention centers under the jurisdiction of courts, prosecution offices, and security agencies in Taiz.
