Sana'a: Extensive meetings were held on Thursday in the districts of Bani Al-Harith, Al-Safiyah, Maeen, and Al-Sabeen in the Capital Secretariat to discuss ways to enhance educational performance, mobilize for summer courses, and raise awareness of their importance under the slogan 'Knowledge and Jihad.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the meetings were attended by officials from the Secretariat and districts, as well as directors and staff of educational zones, summer schools, and supporting committees. The aim was to evaluate performance and review the implementation of summer course activities and programs during the first week. The meetings also sought to mobilize official, educational, and community efforts to support and ensure the success of these courses, while addressing challenges faced in the field.
The discussions focused on strengthening the effectiveness of summer programs and activities to achieve their educational and national objectives. Emphasis was placed on raising awareness about the importance of students enrolling in these courses and making good use of their time.
During the meeting in the Bani Al-Harith district, First Deputy Governor of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, highlighted the importance of enhancing practical educational programs that meet students' needs and develop their intellectual and creative abilities. He stressed the need for active engagement with the summer courses and addressing any shortcomings promptly to ensure the success of their programs and activities.
Al-Madani also emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in confronting the 'soft war' targeting youth, noting that summer courses are among the most important means of protecting them from its risks.
In Al-Safiyah district, the head of the education sector in the Capital Secretariat and Deputy Head of the Subcommittee for Summer Courses, Abdulqader Al-Mahdi, reviewed aspects of performance evaluation, attendance levels in summer schools during the first week, and ways to mobilize support for course activities and programs across various fields. Al-Mahdi also addressed the role of summer course teachers in coordinating and planning activities to build students' capacities and personalities in line with purposeful guidelines.
In Maeen district, Assistant Deputy Governor Sami Sharaf Al-Din emphasized the need for continuous follow-up and ongoing evaluation to ensure the development of work and improve the implementation of summer course activities.
Meanwhile, the meeting in Al-Sabeen district stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to enhance community awareness of the significance of summer courses, their role in guiding and supporting youth, and making productive use of their free time.
