Sana'a: Several districts in Sana'a province, including Hamdan, Jihanah, Bani Hushaysh, Arhab, Bilad Ar Rus, Khawlan, At Tiyal, Al Haymah Ad Dakhiliyyah, Al Haymah Al Kharijiyyah, Manakhah, Sa'fan, Sanhan wa Bani Bahloul, and Nihm, organized festivals and cultural evenings to commemorate Yawm al-Wilayah (Ghadir Day) for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events were attended by members of the Shura Council, deputy governors, mobilization officials, notables, and social figures. The festivals featured chants, anthems, and folk songs that expressed the occasion's significance and reflected the Yemeni people's faith in the guardianship (wilayah) of God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the pure family of the Prophet.
Speeches delivered by district directors, mobilization officials, and attendees emphasized the importance of commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah to affirm allegiance to Imam Ali in response to God's command and the call of the Noble Messenger. The speeches reviewed the significance of celebrating Yawm al-Wilayah and embodying its faith-based meanings, stressing that allegiance must be a practical commitment in the nation's reality.
They highlighted the importance of drawing lessons and faith-based principles from this occasion to confront current challenges, explaining that the principle of wilayah is a religious and practical connection and a Quranic path, with the alternative being allegiance to Jews and Christians.
