Berlin: Fuel prices in Germany continued to rise despite the implementation of the so-called "12 o'clock rule," as a result of the repercussions of the Zionist-American aggression on Iran. The German Automobile Club announced on Tuesday that diesel prices reached new record levels for the sixth consecutive day, while gasoline prices approached their highest level since March 2022.
According to Yemen News Agency, the average price per liter of Super E10 gasoline, the most common and cheapest in Germany, reached about 2.192 euros, only about 1.1 cents lower than the record high recorded in 2022. In contrast, the price per liter of diesel reached 2.443 euros. Since the implementation of the rule began on April 1, the price of E10 has increased by 8.5 cents per liter, while the price of diesel has risen by about 12.7 cents.
Compared to the prices prevailing before the outbreak of the aggression on Iran, there has been a much larger increase, exceeding 41 cents for E10 gasoline and about 70 cents for diesel. The new rule stipulates that fuel stations are allowed to raise prices only once per day, at 12 noon, in a step aimed at reducing price fluctuations and enhancing the level of transparency in the market.
